Frederick County is booming! Everywhere you look there is new construction with many residential housing developments.
The Downtown is a favorite spot and offers many small boutique shops and fine restaurants. The Carroll Creek is the destination for many folks and features events year round like the Fire in Ice display in February and exciting restaurants that grace the Creek. Downtown is home to the Historic District and many gorgeous older homes from the early 1900’s. Hood College is also located nearby to the downtown area.
Be sure to catch The Great Frederick Fair– September event held at the Frederick Fairgrounds and featuring musical artists such as Thomas Rhett, Three Doors Down, Travis Tritt and The Commodores. The “Fair” would not be complete without enjoying tasty treats like cotton candy, barbeque, corn dogs, MD Crabcakes and French fries!
Frederick County has many parks and playgrounds and the Monocacy River for canoeing. Cunningham Falls and the Catoctin Forest are popular for hiking and is near Emmitsburg, MD.
A beautiful drive, especially in the fall.
Spring Ridge is a residential neighborhood offering condos, townhomes and single family homes. There is a community shopping center with Weis Markets, JP Pizza and more. There is a community pool and many parks and playgrounds. The location is a great spot for commuters just off of I-70 for commuting to Baltimore or Washington, D.C. The community offers many events throughout the year like Christmas Wagon rides to see the Christmas lights! There are many residential neighborhoods throughout Frederick County; something for every budget!
